METHODIST CHAPELS
Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist Chapels
Wesleyan Methodist chapels were built in the village, with the first on Chapel Lane constructed in 1809. This chapel served the community until 1902, when the newer chapel on Front Street opened.
The Primitive Methodist Chapel, located on Station Road, was built in 1864 and remained in use until 1932. This building has since been converted into private dwellings.
The Wesleyan Methodist Chapel on Front Street continues to be a significant landmark in the village, reflecting the rich religious heritage of Middleton on the Wolds. It is now a private dwelling.
